Helene Oseen isn't a knock off. She's a genuine expert that has been helping women make friends with fashion and themselves for over 25 years. She is an antidote to today's youth and beauty obsessed culture. Her realistic, entertaining and gentle approach combined with ther talent for helping women be comfortable in their own skin and their clothing has become her recognized trademark.
Helene wasn't born stylish, she achieved it, then misplaced it and now in her midlife has reclaimed her authentic style and voice. Helene is still young enough to enjoy fashion, old enough to have seen the trends before, real enough to embrace her stage in life and friendly enough to keep it fun
She is the author of the best-selling book Fashion 911, wrote weekly Fashion 911 newspaper columns for various newspapers and was a weekly Fashion 911 contributor on Global Television. As an expert she regularly did makeovers and was quoted in newspaper and magazines including Canadian Living and FLARE. WTN did a feature profile on her in Bella Style. She was honoured by Global Television and the YWCA as a Woman of Vision.
In her forties she started to outgrow her passion for fashion (literally and figuratively) and was having more fun at Home Depot than at Holt Renfrew. Things that used to work, didn't anymore. Embarking on the second half of her life she was ready for a change of pace and some new challenges and so became a Realtor and created The Pajama Party (www.thepajamaparty.info) both of which are still a perfect fit for her today.
Now that she is fifty-something she was starting to feel frumpy and in an AHA moment realized it was time for her own midlife makeover.
One thing Helene knows for sure is that there is a deeply powerful connection between what we wear and how we feel. Putting on clothes is as much for the spirit and psyche as it is for the body.
